New Year's Resolutions

I hate New Year's Resolutions.  "WHY?" you say, no doubt appalled.  Well, because I really hate the whole "one-time-good-deal" aspect of it all.  I think that making resolutions is great, but I don't appreciate the fact that the whole New Year's aspect kind of makes one feel that there are only certain times that a person can change or make a difference.  As far as I'm concerned, waiting until the First of January to make a change doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.  I'm more of a mind to make a change whenever the idea strikes me.  What do you think?  What changes are you planning on making this year?

Yeah, well, some people might not be as hard on themselves so New Year's resolutions can be helpful. It might actually MAKE them do it. I, for one, didn't quite finish last year's resolution, therefore I don't have one this year. Usually they just discourage me.
